Artist notes
I painted this early in 2020, before pandemics, before lockdown and before we all lived in pyjamas. It has spent part of the year brightening up your daily caffeine fix, hanging proudly in Coast Cafe in Worthing. The other half of the year, it made working from home much more vibrant. It gave me so much joy seeing it in my living during the first lockdown.
Colour is the focus of this painting; it oozes vibrancy, joy and hope. You can't help but smile when you stare at it. I painted it with a lot of energy, with the theme of 'God Colours' in mind.
'You're here to be light, bringing out the God Colours in the world.'
We all are unique, special and one-of-a-kind. I believe we are all on this beautiful green earth for a reason; there are no mistakes and no coincidences. We each have a purpose and a calling. 'God Colours' is the beauty in this world, the joy, love, hope and wonder. It is what makes each of us unique, and we all have God Colours within us. This theme is woven throughout all my work, and this painting is an exceptional example of it.
